Rebecca Wei

Rebecca Wei is the Founder of Wei & Associates. Committed to fostering innovation and connoisseurship in the realms of Impressionist and Modern, Post-war and Contemporary Art, Wei focuses on nurturing relationships with collectors, connoisseurs, artists, museums, and business partners across Asia and beyond.
Previously, Wei was the Founder and Chairman of the globally renowned art gallery Lévy Gorvy Dayan & Wei, where she spearheaded programs and business development in Asia.
From 2012 to 2020, Wei served as President and Chairman of Christie’s Asia, revamping the auction business and leading to exponential growth in both sales and client base during her eight-year tenure.
Prior to her career in the art world, Wei worked at McKinsey & Company, where she became the Firm’s first female partner in Greater China Office. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and authored the anthologies From da Vinci to Andy Warhol: The Must-Visit Art Museums of a Lifetime (simplified Chinese, 2024) and Notes on Art (traditional Chinese, 2023).
Wei serves as an independent director on the board of Modern Media.
Chie Ishizaka is an Advisor at Wei & Associates, based in Japan. Chie’s expertise lies in the realms of Impressionist and Modern, Post-war and Contemporary Art, providing unparalleled advice to her clients.
With a career spanning over two decades, Chie’s journey began at Christie’s Japan in 1998, where she steadily rose and became its Managing Director from 2015 to 2018. During her tenure, Chie cultivated a network of strong relationships with major Japanese museums and collectors in the Western Art field. Her keen eye and unwavering dedication played a pivotal role in securing key consignments for both auction and private sales.
Extending expertise beyond her professional work, Chie is the co-translator of Value of Art (2014), authored by the former Director of Impressionist and Modern Art at Christie’s, Michael Findlay.
Chie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Manhattanville College in New York, as well as an Associate of Arts in English Linguistics from Sacred Heart Junior College in Tokyo.
Yuyun Chiang is an Advisor at Wei & Associates, based in Taipei. Yuyun comes from a diverse background with deep and multi-dimensional knowledge of the art world.
Prior to joining Wei & Associates, Yuyun was the Director and Taiwan Representative of both Lévy Gorvy Dayan & Wei and White Cube, where she spearheaded the success of both gallerys’ exhibitions and participation in art fairs. She also played key roles in major art institutions in Taipei, Beijing, and Shanghai, curating and managing exhibitions, art forums, and thematic salons.
In addition to her over fifteen years of experience in art collection, Yuyun has been a guest writer and contributing reporter for multiple leading art media and publications.
Yuyun graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Master’s Degree in Art in Culture Industry.
Liberté Nuti is an Advisor at Wei & Associates, based in London. Liberté specializes in Modern and Impressionist art with a deep expertise in French Impressionism and European Modernism. With over twenty years of experience, she has cultivated an exceptional understanding of these fields.
Over her career, Liberté has honed her expertise in Claude Monet, the Post-Impressionism period around the Pont-Aven school, and Pointillism. She has collaborated with some of Europe’s most prestigious collections, handling masterpieces by the five leading Modern Masters: Matisse, Picasso, Chagall, Giacometti, and Miró.
From 1997 to 2018, Liberté served as Senior Director in the Impressionist and Modern department at Christie’s, London. In this role, she headed the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper sale and established the Impressionist and Modern Art Private Sales channel. She played a pivotal in organizing bi-annual Impressionist Art Private Sales exhibitions in Hong Kong and has delivered numerous lectures on Impressionist Art across Asia.
At the beginning of 2018, Liberté joined the blue-chip contemporary art gallery Hauser & Wirth, where she oversaw the sales of Impressionist and Modern Art. In line with the gallery’s particular strength and history, she focused on the twentieth-century avant-garde movements, such as Dada and Surrealism, working particularly on Arp, Picasso and Picabia.
Kelly Xu is the Director at Wei & Associates. In her role, Kelly oversees day-to-day operations, legal matters, finance, human resources, as well as business and sales activities.
Prior to her position at Wei & Associates, Kelly served as Gallery Director at Lévy Gorvy Dayan & Wei, where she managed various aspects of the gallery’s operations in the region.
Kelly also held positions at Christie’s Asia’s Chairman and President Office. Before her career in the art world, Kelly worked at a global NGO headquartered in the UK, and the Government of Alberta in Canada.
Kelly holds a Master’s degree in Project Management and a Bachelor’s Degree of International Business Management from Canada.
Samantha Sham is the Business Manager at Wei & Associates, where she oversees project management, client development, and supports the sales team.
Prior to her role at Wei & Associates, Samantha served as the Associate Director, Exhibition and Client Intelligence at Lévy Gorvy Dayan & Wei.
Samantha also worked in a Hong Kong based art gallery, auction house, and spent 11 years with Christie’s as an administrator, business manager and client strategy manager supporting the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art department.
Samantha holds a BA in Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Communications.
Pepper Li is the Research Manager at Wei & Associates, specializing in researching, cataloguing, and composing essays on secondary market artworks.
Prior to her role at Wei & Associates, Pepper was the Research Manager at Lévy Gorvy Dayan, and the Cataloguer and Specialist in the Impressionist and Modern Art department at Christie’s, London.
Pepper holds an MA in Art History from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and is currently a PhD researcher at the University of York.
